Oranges vs Phlegm

I have been cutting down on eating oranges since my first trimester - from almost daily to once a week, biweekly and now once every 2 months. In the beginning, I thought I might have withdrawal symptoms but the feeling was not too bad and I took pear instead. However, I still have phlegm although it is now bearable. 

I don't have such problem of phlegm during my first pregnancy. Very strange huh? The old wives tales said that eating too much oranges will cause baby to have plenty of phlegm. Doesn't seem logical to me ... I am the one now having phlegm! Oh well, it doesn't hurt to believe but I will still eat moderately. =\
