Sleeping on her left with all her "accessories" |
Her head shape as at 29 March 2012:
Moderate Plagiocephaly: Top View |
To encourage her further, I also demonstrate it is fun to exercise her neck and do head rotation by singing and dancing in front of her via the Chinese healthy song by Mavis Fan (范 晓 萱). Of course I did some impromptu lyrics revision by emphasizing the neck portions which I think is more relevant to her.
Looking at her progress now, I think it is more difficult for her to do her neck exercise as she screams whenever we try to tilt her head away from her shoulder. We have to think of all ways to coax her to get into action. I hate it when she ignore me sometimes when I speak to her on her left but when I speak to her on her right, she turn her head occasionally to look at me. =(
I am beginning to regret why I didn't allow her (due to health risks) to be place in baby swing/hammock (摇篮) Maybe that would relieve the flat head problem but not stiff neck.
Sigh, take away the self-blaming now and just gotta do our best. Hopefully, by 1 year old, she will grow out of it.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteDo you remember what you did to return to the correct head form?
I m having same issue and would like your advice.
How did you put her to sleep?
Hi sorry for the late reply. (repost due to errors)
ReplyDeleteI just came across while doing some spring cleaning on my PC and emails. This site is now inactive i have moved to Wordpress.
Hope you have resolved your problem.
I just did opposite side, and then flipped frequently to the other side so that she didn't have a "favourite" side to sleep on
Her head turned out fine, she is now in P3, another phase of life, other sets of problems...haha.
